This is not our first stay at Bucklawren and as in the past we had all our expectations exceeded! The Horseshoe cottage at Bucklawren is a stunning renovation, great for our family break in beautiful surroundings of the garden and views beyond. Its mix of the modern and chic with just the right amount of traditional touches makes for a light homely feel, decorated and furnished to an excellent standard. Our girls loved the week we spent here, outside at every opportunity when were were at the cottage exploring the stunning garden and cartwheeling with abandonment! From a young family point of view, Jean and her husband have pretty much thought of everything, from the well kitted out kitchen to the games, books etc. We have stayed in a number of Bucklawren cottages over the years, moving up in size as our family grew and have never been disappointed. Its location is very convenient for Looe itself but is far enough away from any hustle & bustle, stunning views from the gardens and beautifully quiet idyllic setting.

Once again we have had the most wonderful holiday at Bucklawren Farm. We have stayed several times over the years and never been disappointed. However, this year we had not pre-booked and telephoned on the off chance of getting accommodation. As usual Jean was most obliging and we stayed in the fantastic Hayloft which easily accommodates at least 8 people. There was only two of us and it was fabulous. Everything is provided and the Hayloft is spacious, warm, clean and comfortable. Will definitely be going back next year and will pre-book this time. Thanks a lot Jean and Richard. Keep up the good work it was absolutely faultless, plenty of room for larger families.

We stayed in The Hayloft self catering cottage. A wonderful place to stay, with lots of room for seven of us. The kitchen was fantastic, fully equipped, and we all loved the ice maker in the fridge. Spotlessly clean, with cosy bedrooms with comfy beds.

Fantastic views. Impeccably clean, well maintained, furnished and has everything you could ever need and then some. Kate could not have done more, also the little goodies i.e. Prosecco, biscuits, scones with jam and cream (being Devonian there’s only one way!! cream 1st) kept our strength up until our food delivery arrived.

We continue to visit Bucklawren, this is our 17th Year. We have nothing but compliments for Kate, Jean & Jo regarding their attention to detail & always available for you when staying at Bucklawren, either Self Catering or Bed & Breakfast. We have experienced both. Our latest stay in June/July 2017 in Miller’s House which accommodates 6 people. We were 6 adults. It is very well equipped, nothing left you wanting, Kitchen to Dining, to Sleeping. Location is excellent with many places to see & visit, all in easy access. Bucklawren remains 5*Star in our locations & places to stay. Well Done. A Beautiful Farm. So very Pretty & Peaceful. Wonderful views over Looe Island (St. George). We have access to the gardens & play Crochet & Boules with an amazing view. Robert maintains the gardens & lawns for you to sit back & enjoy or play.

Yet another fantastic stay at Millers House. Ideal accommodation for 6 people. Three bedrooms, all en- suite, everything you could want provided for a great stay. Five star and more. Location perfect for peace, lovely views and only 10 minute drive to Looe and seaside activities. Many places to eat locally in Looe and nearby. Kate does a brilliant job for her guests. Looking forward to returning next year.

Our delightful cottage was first class, dog friendly, clean, modern, well equipped and contained everything you would require for a self catering holiday. In addition there was plenty of information provided regarding local amenities and attractions. The owner was extremely helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend these cottages to anyone wanting a place to relax as well as take advantage of outdoor activities such as walking the south west coast path.

We stayed in the horseshoe cottage in the summer holidays last year. Four adults two children and to babies. Everything we needed was there, lovely area in front of the cottage for the children to play, very nice family that ran the b&b and the cottages. Will stay again next time we visit Cornwall.

Well what can we say – still here in Millers Cottage for another 2 nights and once again we have had a wonderful stay and don’t want to leave. We were met by Kate on arrival who is always so friendly and welcoming and honestly the cottage is absolutely beautiful, spacious, immaculate, fully equipped and everything is to the highest specification. Staying are myself, my husband, our 12 year old son and my Mum and it is perfect for all of us. Bucklawren and this area mean a lot to us all as Mum and Dad stayed in the B&B regularly until Dad passed in 2021 (They loved staying there with Jo and family) so it is lovely to be here in a place with such precious memories. As a larger family, the cottage is ideal for us all. It is in a beautiful location, and we just love sitting on the patio with a cuppa (or glass of wine) and taking in the outstanding beauty of the area, enjoying the peace and hearing the birdsong. Looe is just down the road, (Mum and Dad have been coming for 52 years and me, 46 years! So lovely to be so close. Polperro is always a definite visit, as is Fowey – you are spoiled for choice in Cornwall. There are lots of lovely restaurants around the area – the incredible Coddyshack is close by too to eat in or take away. Morrisons is a short drive away for your self catering shopping requirements but on arrival you are left an amazing welcome pack of food and drink which is always a lovely surprise. Honestly we cannot recommend Bucklawren Holiday cottages highly enough. Just Perfection and I know when we leave on Friday, another little part of our hearts will be left here ready for us to return again. THANK YOU!
