A warm welcome awaits you at Bucklawren, a working farm with 400 acres of arable and beef farmland. Bucklawren is set deep in the Cornish countryside, yet only one mile from the beach and three miles from the picturesque fishing village of Looe.

The original Bucklawren manor is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1092. In medieval times Bucklawren was a nunnery, until Henry 8th dissolution of the monasteries.

Bucklawren is an ideal base for exploring the rest of Cornwall with its many attractions. There is golf, cycling, riding, tennis and water sports all available close by and also the safe bathing beaches of Millendreath, Seaton and Looe. There are several National Trust properties in the area and of course the delightful historic fishing villages of Looe, Polperro and Fowey. For the children and adults alike there is the unique, world-renowned Monkey Sanctuary, which is within walking distance of Bucklawren. The maritime city of Plymouth is only a short journey away and offers shops, theatre, cinema and the National Marine Aquarium.
